B2Gold Namibia has named John Roos as Managing Director, effective July 1, 2026. Roos, a Namibian executive, succeeds Bill Lytle, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of B2Gold Corp., who oversaw the company's Namibian operations and played a central role in the development of the Otjikoto Mine.
Roos previously served as Country Manager for B2Gold Namibia, where his responsibilities spanned finance, corporate social investment, corporate affairs, and government and stakeholder relations. His appointment to the Managing Director role represents an internal promotion from within the Namibian operation. No changes to B2Gold Corp.'s broader corporate structure or executive team were announced in connection with the transition.
