Where can I check DRC mining contracts and permits?

DRC mining permits can be checked through the CAMI (Cadastre Minier) public register at cadastreminier.cd. Search by company name, province, or commodity. For a legally binding confirmation of current permit status, request a notarised CAMI extract directly from the CAMI office in Kinshasa. Mining contracts are not centrally published, but partial disclosure is available through EITI DRC reports at eiti.org/drc and through exchange filings for listed operators.

Checking permits

The CAMI online register allows free text and map-based searches of the national permit database. Input fields accept permit holder name, permit number, and province. Results show permit type (PR for exploration, PE for exploitation), issue date, expiry date, and holder identity as recorded in the system.

The database reflects CAMI's internal records and may not be updated in real time. Transfers agreed commercially but not yet formally approved by CAMI will not appear. For due diligence on a specific permit, request a notarised CAMI extract which is the authoritative confirmation.

Checking contracts

DRC mining contracts between private operators and the state are not systematically published. The best available public sources are:

EITI DRC reports (eiti.org/drc): include operator-level payment data and references to contractual terms.

Listed company filings: Canadian operators file NI 43-101 technical reports on SEDAR+ that include concession and ownership descriptions. HKEX filings for CMOC and exchange filings for Glencore include material contract disclosures.

OHADA company register: corporate structure and shareholder declarations for DRC-incorporated entities provide partial contract context.
