MATADI, Kongo-Central, Democratic Republic of the Congo – June 12, 2026 – The National Agency for Investment Promotion (ANAPI) took part on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at the Ledya Hotel, in the Kongo-Central Province Open House, held under the theme: "Kongo-Central: A New Destination for Mining, Industrial, Tourism and Logistics Investment." Organized under the high patronage of His Excellency Mr. Grâce Nkuanga Masuangi Bilolo, Provincial Governor, the event brought together institutional stakeholders, business operators and potential investors.
The ceremony opened with welcome remarks from Maître Édouard Samba Nsitu, Provincial Minister of Mines and Transport, who commended the Governor's commitment to the initiative and underscored the strategic role of mining, industry, tourism, logistics and investment in the economic transformation of Kongo-Central.
Taking the floor in turn, Governor Grâce Nkuanga Masuangi Bilolo paid tribute to the President of the Republic, His Excellency Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, for his vision for the country's development. He outlined his provincial government's ambitions for economic growth and called on private investors to support the province's development efforts.
Participants then followed a series of presentations on investment opportunities in the mining, industrial, tourism and logistics sectors. The presentations highlighted the province's major assets: significant strategic mineral resources, vast arable land, remarkable tourism potential and a privileged geographic position, strengthened by access to the Atlantic Ocean and the development of the Banana Deep-Water Port.
The provincial government also presented several flagship projects to be carried out through public-private partnerships, including the construction of dry ports, modern commercial platforms and road infrastructure, as well as the development of new tourism hubs, particularly in the Muanda territory.
