Resolute Mining Limited (ASX: RSG; LSE: RSG) is an Australian gold mining company with over 30 years of experience and more than 8 million ounces of gold produced from operations in Australia and Africa. In Mali, Resolute operates the Syama Gold Mine — one of West Africa's largest gold mines — located in the Sikasso Region in south-eastern Mali. Syama is a large-scale underground and open-pit gold mining operation with an autoclave processing circuit, producing approximately 200,000–250,000 ounces of gold per year. In November 2024, three Resolute executives — including its CEO Terry Holohan — were detained by the Malian government over a tax dispute of 100 billion CFA francs (~US$165 million). Resolute subsequently agreed to pay the amount, resulting in the release of its staff, and in September 2025 a formal mining agreement was ratified under Mali's 2023 Mining Code. Resolute also operates the Mako Gold Mine in Senegal. Resolute is headquartered in Perth, Western Australia, and is listed on both the ASX and London Stock Exchange.
