About
Perseus Mining (Ghana) Limited is a subsidiary of ASX-listed Perseus Mining Limited, an Australian gold mining company focused on West Africa. Perseus operates the Edikan Gold Mine in the Central Region of Ghana — one of the country's major producing open-pit gold mines — which produces approximately 200,000 ounces of gold per year. The Edikan mine consists of multiple open pit deposits including AF, Fetish and Caesar, and operates a conventional carbon-in-leach processing plant. Perseus also operates the Yaouré Mine in Côte d'Ivoire and the Sissingué Mine in northern Côte d'Ivoire, making it a significant multi-asset West African gold producer. The company was founded in 2007 and listed on the ASX. In Ghana, Perseus employs approximately 2,000 people directly and is a member of the Ghana Chamber of Mines. The company has a planned $170 million expansion of Edikan's pit that would significantly extend mine life and increase production. Perseus is one of West Africa's most profitable pure-play gold miners, with low all-in sustaining costs and a track record of strong free cash flow generation.
