Northam Platinum Holdings Limited is an independent, fully empowered, integrated platinum group metals (PGM) producer listed on the JSE (NPH). Headquartered at Waterfall City in Johannesburg, Northam operates three wholly owned mines on South Africa's Bushveld Complex: Zondereinde on the western limb in Limpopo, Booysendal on the eastern limb in Mpumalanga, and Eland in the North West province. Northam is the only fully independent black-owned PGM producer in South Africa and is distinguished by its integrated business model that spans underground mining through concentrating, smelting and base metals removal at Zondereinde to the production of market-ready PGM concentrates. The company's principal products are platinum, palladium and rhodium for use in catalytic converters, jewellery and industrial applications. Northam also produces chrome concentrate, nickel, copper, cobalt and gold as co-products. With a market capitalisation of approximately R33 billion and over 23,000 employees, Northam is a significant and growing player in the global PGM sector.
