Nguvu Mining Limited is a Ghanaian-owned and -led multi-asset gold mining group founded by CEO Angela List, operating mines and projects across Ghana, Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso. In Ghana, Nguvu owns two operating assets: Adamus Resources Limited, which operates the Nzema Gold Mine in the Western Region (acquired from Endeavour Mining in 2017), and Northern Ashanti Mining Company Limited (Konongo Gold Mine), acquired in 2020. Nguvu is the first female-founded and female-led gold mining group operating at this scale in West Africa. Angela List is the 2nd Vice President of the Ghana Chamber of Mines and a prominent advocate for women in mining. The Nzema Gold Mine, located 300 kilometres west of Accra, produces gold via conventional open-pit mining and carbon-in-leach processing and employs approximately 1,000 people. The group also operates the Segala Mine in Mali (acquired from Endeavour Mining in 2018) and the Samira Hill Mine in Niger. Nguvu has won multiple industry awards including Best Mining Company (Adamus Resources) at the Paa Grant Medals for Business Excellence.
