About
Montage Gold Corp (TSX-V: MAU) is a Canadian-listed gold development company focused on Côte d'Ivoire, building the Koné Gold Project — one of the highest-quality large-scale gold developments in Africa. Backed by the Lundin Group, Zijin Mining Group (9.9% stake) and Wheaton Precious Metals (US$700 million streaming/loan facility), Montage has a fully funded construction budget of approximately US$825 million. Koné is located 350 kilometres north-west of Yamoussoukro in the Kani and Dianra Departments, and based on the 2024 Feasibility Study projects average annual production of over 300,000 ounces of gold over the first eight years at an AISC of US$998 per ounce over a 16-year mine life. The Côte d'Ivoire government granted the two exploitation permits for Koné in July 2024, and construction launched on 18 December 2024. First gold pour is targeted for late Q4-2026. The project contains 9 defined mineral deposits across a 1,318 square kilometre licence — one of the largest in West Africa — with over 50 exploration targets identified. CEO is Martino De Ciccio, formerly of Endeavour Mining. Montage is headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia.
