About
Lifezone Metals Limited (NYSE: LZM) is a NYSE-listed metals production and technology company advancing the Kabanga Nickel Project — the world's largest and highest-grade undeveloped nickel sulfide deposit — in the Ngara District of Tanzania's Kagera Region, approximately 130 kilometres southwest of Lake Victoria near the Burundian border. Lifezone owns 84% of the Kabanga Nickel Project (following its purchase of BHP's stake in 2025), with the Tanzanian Government retaining 16% through Tembo Nickel Corporation Limited. Kabanga's proven and probable reserves total 52.2 million tonnes at 1.98% nickel, 0.27% copper and 0.15% cobalt — the first-ever reserve estimate in the project's 50-year history, published in the 2025 Feasibility Study. At full production, Kabanga will produce battery-grade Class 1 nickel, copper and cobalt using Lifezone's proprietary Hydromet Technology — a hydrometallurgical processing method that replaces conventional smelting, dramatically reducing carbon emissions and energy consumption. The project is supported by the US Development Finance Corporation (DFC) and has received backing from JOGMEC (Japan) and the Partnership for Global Infrastructure and Investment (PGI). Over US$400 million has been invested in Kabanga to date.
