About
Invictus Energy Limited (ASX: IVZ; VFEX: INV) is an Australian Securities Exchange-listed independent upstream oil and gas explorer and developer, headquartered in Perth, Australia with offices in Harare, Zimbabwe. Invictus holds an 80% working interest in the SG 4571 permit within the Cabora Bassa Basin — one of Africa's largest and last untested frontier rift basins — located in the Muzarabani district of Mashonaland Central Province in northern Zimbabwe. In 2023, Invictus made multiple high-quality gas-condensate discoveries at the Mukuyu Gas Field, confirmed as the second-largest discovery well globally that year by Wood Mackenzie. Invictus holds proven gas-condensate discoveries in the Upper and Lower Angwa Formations with a recoverable prospective resource base of multiple trillion cubic feet of gas plus hundreds of millions of barrels of condensate. The Cabora Bassa Project received National Project Status from the Government of Zimbabwe, with the Mutapa Investment Fund (Zimbabwe's Sovereign Wealth Fund) becoming a strategic investor and PPSA beneficiary. In 2024, Invictus signed a gas-to-power MOU with the Eureka Gold Mine as an early commercial offtake pilot. Invictus is advancing commercialisation opportunities and further exploration in its 360,000-hectare licence area.
