Impala Platinum Holdings Limited (Implats) is one of the world's foremost producers of platinum and associated platinum group metals (PGMs). Headquartered in Illovo, Johannesburg, Implats is structured around six mining operations — Impala Rustenburg, Impala Bafokeng, Marula, Two Rivers, Zimplats and Mimosa — along with Impala Refining Services (IRS), one of the world's largest PGM refining operations, and Impala Canada. The group operates on two of the world's most significant PGM-bearing ore bodies: the Bushveld Complex in South Africa and the Great Dyke in Zimbabwe, and has a palladium and platinum mine in Ontario, Canada, through Impala Canada. Implats employs over 66,000 people across its operations and produces platinum, palladium, rhodium, iridium, ruthenium, gold, nickel, copper and cobalt. The group is listed on the JSE (IMP) with American Depositary Receipts traded on the OTCQX Market in the United States. Implats is a member of the Minerals Council South Africa and a signatory to the United Nations Global Compact.
