About
Harmony Gold Mining Company Limited is South Africa's largest gold producer by volume, with a 70-year track record of operating in South Africa's goldfields and an expanding global footprint. Headquartered in Randfontein, Gauteng, Harmony operates nine underground mines and one open pit in South Africa across three regions — Central, Evander and West Wits — along with the Hidden Valley open pit mine and the world-class Wafi-Golpu gold-copper project in Papua New Guinea. Harmony has recently expanded into copper through the USD 1 billion acquisition of the CSA Copper Mine in New South Wales, Australia, targeting copper as 40% of total production by 2035. With annual gold production of approximately 1.5 million ounces, Harmony is one of the world's top-10 gold producers. The company is listed on the JSE (HAR) and NYSE (HMY) and is a key member of the Minerals Council South Africa. In 2024, Harmony concluded a historic first-ever five-year wage agreement with all organised labour — a milestone for the sector.
