The DRC Chamber of Mines (Chambre des Mines de la République Démocratique du Congo) is the representative body of the mining industry in the Democratic Republic of Congo, operating under the umbrella of the Fédération des Entreprises du Congo (FEC). The Chamber represents the interests of industrial mining companies operating in the DRC before government authorities, regulatory bodies, international institutions and development partners. Its mandate includes advocacy for a stable and competitive mining investment framework, engagement on mining code implementation, and facilitation of dialogue between the mining industry and the DRC government on fiscal, regulatory and operational matters. Members include the largest copper, cobalt, gold and diamond producers in the country. The Chamber maintains offices in both Lubumbashi — the capital of the DRC's mining industry — and Kinshasa, and is an active participant at international mining events including Mining Indaba, where it promotes DRC mining investment opportunities to the global investor community.
