The Chamber of Mines of Namibia is the principal representative body of the mining industry in Namibia, representing companies engaged in mineral exploration, production and processing across the country. Headquartered in Windhoek, the Chamber advocates for a stable and investor-friendly regulatory environment, engages government on fiscal, environmental and social policy, and promotes responsible and sustainable mining practices. Namibia's mining sector accounts for approximately 10% of GDP and nearly 50% of total export earnings, making it the country's most important economic sector. The Chamber's current members include Rössing Uranium, Swakop Uranium, Namdeb Holdings, Debmarine Namibia, B2Gold Namibia, Dundee Precious Metals Tsumeb, Paladin Energy (Langer Heinrich) and many others. The Chamber's CEO is Veston Malango, and its current President is George Botshiwe (MD, Navachab Gold Mine). The Chamber publishes an annual industry review, hosts the Namibia Mining Expo & Conference and represents Namibia at international mining forums including Mining Indaba.
